Overview

Configuring Cisco Nexus 5000 Series Switches (DCNX5K) v3.1 is designed to serve the needs of systems and field engineers, consulting systems engineers, technical solutions architects, and Cisco integrators and partners who install and implement Cisco Nexus 5000 Series Switches and Cisco Nexus 2000 Series Fabric Extenders. This course covers the key components and procedures required to configure, manage, and troubleshoot these Cisco Nexus platforms. This is the third release of material covering the Cisco Nexus 5000 Series Switches and Cisco Nexus 2000 Series Fabric Extender product families. The course focuses on the product hardware, its architecture, key features, and market differentiators, with extensive feature configuration and hands on labs.

The course describes various new features launched in NX-OS 7.0(1) N1(1)and various 3000/ 4000/ 6000/ 7000 and 9000 series switched. The  fundamentals for configuring, managing and troubleshooting the Nexus 5000 series platforms are the focused area during the course training programme.

Course Prerequisites

  • Good understanding of networking protocols ICND1 and ICND2 or CCNABC recommended or DCICNand DCICT
  • Good understanding of the Fibre Channel protocol and the SAN environment.DCMDS recommended
